In Te Pae Oranga whānau, Iwi/Māori and Police come together to support those who are on the trajectory to engage with the justice system and provide an alternative pathway for resolution. Disrupting traditional court pathways and whānau outcomes that have contributed to intergenerational cycles of engagement for whānau with the Police.

Te Pae Oranga creates an environment where resolution is driven by all whānau involved; enabling whānau to have agency to determine what resolution looks like for them. Te Pae Oranga is grounded in an aspirational approach that has the ability to transform the lives of whānau.
