He Tāhuhu Kōrero

Joining a nationwide call for action and support, Te Tihi has contributed to the development and creation of an environment that invites, encourages, and supports whānau to achieve their dreams and aspirations of generational change from tenants to homeowners.

Homes are not just structures, but they represent a sense of pride, security, belonging and intergenerational opportunities for wealth creation.

Whānau have turned their hopes and aspirations into a reality, inspiring others to pursue their own paths to success. Their stories are truly inspiring!

Starting with the development of Tū Ara Ake in 2020-21, with 5 whānau entering 5 homes Te Tihi continue on this journey to supporting homeownership for whānau.

Tū Ara Ake

With support of Te Puni Korkiri and the Te Ara Mauwhare initiative, Te Tihi was able to build five homes over the 2020-21 year. These homes represent a significant achievement for the whānau who had previously resided within Kainga Ora homes and had dreamed of owning a home of their own.
