Ora-Konnect is a collective impact initiative, Ora-Konnect brings together community organisations and resources to activate: 'A connected healthy community' within the 4412 (South Western suburbs).

Our collective mahi includes:

  • Community events

  • Designing and trialing fit for purpose services

  • Sponsoring community led kaupapa

  • Growing and fostering system relationships

Mahi we have done:

The Pharmacy Project

Ora Konnect
Supporting whānau in the 4412 to improve their health and well-being through working in partnership across multiple levels and sectors, to advocate, demonstrate a need for and create system-level change, to reduce barriers to access medicines. Two trials were developed in 2020 and 2022 to help us further understand whānau experiences when accessing medication. These trials are now completed and findings have been used to advocate for system change.

BBT Rugby League tournament and Whānau Day 2020

Ora Konnect
4412 whānau, Josie and Corey Woon, saw the opportunity to organise a community driven event that gave focus to bringing men and their whānau together in a fun day out playing, watching, supporting league whilst having access to health and wellbeing providers in a fun and interactive day. Ora Konnect worked alongside Josie and Corey to support them using collective resources to bring their idea to fruition. The day was well attended by the community and a great day was had by all.
