Te Whare Pūkai was established in 2022 to support Iwi and Māori providers across Tararua, Manawatū, Horowhenua/ Otaki and Te Papaioea, to strengthen their access to kai and hygiene supplies for Whānau and Hapori.

Te Whare Pukai also looks to explore opportunities to support local Māori suppliers of kai and other products that can support whānau. We see the whole system of producing kai and distributing it as a way to improve wellbeing outcomes for Māori at both a system level and within the homes of our whānau.
