The following whakataukī, Mā Whero, Mā Pango, Ka oti te Mahi (with each persons contribution, the vision can be achieved), reflects each organisation within Te Tihi and their unique contribution towards this vision; creating a workforce development strategy that reflects a uniquely kaupapa Maōri voice.
The workforce development strategy is made up of six pathways. Mauriora-Access to Te Ao Māori and a secure cultural identity, Te Oranga-Full participation in society, Toiora-Healthy Whānau lifestyles, Ngā Manukura-Community and health leadership, Networking and building alliances, Te Mana Whakahaere-Autonomy and group aspirations and Waiora-Environmental protection and access to healthy environments.
